What a Event Planner does

Plans and runs events for clients or organizations by coordinating people, vendors, budgets, and schedules to deliver a smooth guest experience.

  • Design event plans based on goals, audience, theme, and budget
  • Coordinate venues, catering, audio-visual, decor, and other vendors
  • Build timelines, run-of-show, and staffing plans for event day
  • Manage invitations, registrations, seating, and guest communications
  • Track budgets, negotiate quotes, and approve invoices and payments
  • Handle permits, safety plans, and accessibility needs where required
  • Lead on-site setup, troubleshoot issues, and manage event flow
  • Review results with stakeholders and document lessons learned
