What a Concierge does

Supports guests by arranging bookings, giving local guidance, and fixing issues so their stay runs smoothly.

  • Greet guests and learn needs, preferences, and any special requests
  • Coordinate restaurant, tour, spa, and transport reservations
  • Recommend local attractions, routes, and safety tips based on guest interests
  • Resolve guest problems by coordinating with hotel teams and outside vendors
  • Handle tickets, deliveries, and messages with clear follow-up
  • Maintain a directory of trusted services, hours, prices, and contacts
  • Document requests and outcomes to support handoffs across shifts

A day in the life

  1. Review arrivals, VIP notes, and events, then plan likely guest requests
  2. Answer desk, phone, and chat requests while coordinating bookings
  3. Walk the property to check signage, queues, and guest flow hot spots
  4. Follow up on open issues, update logs, and brief the next shift
