Day 1 on the Supply Chain Resilience Analyst path.

What a Supply Chain Resilience Analyst does

Studies how a company's supply network would react to shocks like factory fires, port closures, or supplier failures. Builds risk maps and what-if models so leaders can plan backups before a problem hits.

  • Map the supply network to find single points of failure and weak links
  • Spot risks from single-source parts and one-country supplier concentration
  • Build what-if models that test floods, strikes, and price shocks
  • Score suppliers on financial health, location risk, and recovery speed
  • Recommend backup suppliers and safety stock to cut disruption risk
  • Create risk dashboards that flag rising threats across the network
  • Run shock simulations and estimate lost sales, cost, and recovery time

A day in the life

  1. Scan the risk dashboard for new supplier, weather, and shipping alerts
  2. Update the network map with fresh data on parts and plants
  3. Run a what-if model on a likely disruption and check the impact
  4. Meet planning and procurement teams to review top risks and backups
  5. Write a short briefing on one risk with clear recommended actions
