Day 1 on the GenAI Implementation Consultant path.

What a GenAI Implementation Consultant does

Helps client organizations put generative AI (AI that writes text, code, or images) to work. Finds the best use cases, builds pilots with client teams, and guides rollout so the AI actually saves time or money.

  • Run discovery workshops to find where AI can save client teams real time
  • Score and rank AI use cases by value, risk, and effort to build
  • Compare AI models and vendors, then recommend a fit for the client's needs
  • Design prompts (instructions for an AI model) and AI agent workflows with client staff
  • Check the client's data is ready, then build pilots and test outputs with real users
  • Plan rollout and training so teams adopt the new AI tools
  • Track savings, error rates, and usage, then report value to client leaders
  • Set basic guardrails so AI outputs are checked before they reach customers

A day in the life

  1. Check pilot usage numbers and flag any bad AI outputs from yesterday
  2. Run a workshop with client staff to map a task an AI could help with
  3. Test and refine prompts with a client team until outputs are reliable
  4. Meet the vendor or engineering team on integration and data questions
  5. Update the value tracker and send a short status note to client leads
  6. Prepare a demo of the pilot for next week's leadership review
