Day 1 on the Agentic Workflow Consultant path.

What a Agentic Workflow Consultant does

Redesigns a client's whole process around AI agents (AI programs that take actions on their own, not just answer questions). Maps how the work runs today, builds a system of agents that does it end to end, and sets the rules for when a human must check or approve.

  • Map a client process step by step to find what agents can take over
  • Design the agent workflow: which agent does what, in what order
  • Decide each agent's tool access, handoffs, and human approval checkpoints
  • Build the system on platforms like LangGraph, CrewAI, or Copilot Studio
  • Test agent runs against real cases and measure failure and error rates
  • Set governance rules (limits on what agents may do without a human)
  • Plan how affected staff move to oversight or other work
  • Monitor live agent runs, fix failures, and report results to client leaders

A day in the life

  1. Review overnight agent runs and trace any failed or strange actions
  2. Walk a client team through their process to map every decision point
  3. Build and test a new agent handoff in LangGraph or n8n
  4. Meet the client's security team on what data agents may touch
  5. Demo the agent system on live cases and log where humans stepped in
  6. Update the reliability tracker and send a short note to client leads
