What a Full Stack Developer does

Builds and maintains complete web or app features, from screens to servers, so users can do tasks smoothly and safely.

  • Design user-facing pages and flows based on product needs
  • Build back-end services and APIs that power app features
  • Model and query databases to store and retrieve app data
  • Connect front end to back end and handle errors gracefully
  • Write automated tests and fix bugs found in reviews or production
  • Review code with teammates and improve code quality over time
  • Deploy updates and monitor performance, uptime, and logs

A day in the life

  2. Build a feature across UI, API, and database, then write tests
  3. Join a code review and adjust your changes based on feedback
