Day 1 on the People Analytics Lead path.

What a People Analytics Lead does

Turns staff data into clear answers leaders can act on, such as why people quit and how to keep them. Builds the trusted data foundation that the human resources (HR) team relies on.

  • Build attrition models that predict which staff may quit soon
  • Design headcount, hiring, and diversity dashboards leaders check each week
  • Pull and clean people data from the human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Analyse staff surveys to find why people stay or leave
  • Define shared metrics so every team counts headcount the same way
  • Turn findings into plain reports that managers actually use
  • Check data for privacy, fairness, and errors before sharing it

A day in the life

  1. Refresh dashboards and check overnight data for gaps or errors
  2. Meet HR leaders to frame a question, like rising team turnover
  3. Pull data, clean it, and test a model for the answer
  4. Write a short report and walk managers through what it means
  5. Plan the next survey and review questions with the team
  6. Fix a broken data feed between the HRIS and the dashboard
