Helps employees and customers fix computer, phone, and software problems so they can work safely and without long downtime.

  • Diagnose and fix laptop, desktop, printer, and mobile device issues
  • Troubleshoot software errors, updates, and basic network connectivity problems
  • Set up new user accounts, devices, and access to apps and shared drives
  • Respond to support tickets, prioritize urgent issues, and track progress
  • Explain fixes in simple language and teach users how to avoid repeat issues

  • Escalate complex problems to network, security, or application teams

A day in the life

  1. Start by checking the ticket queue and handling urgent outages or locked accounts
  2. Work through a mix of walk-ups, calls, chats, and remote support sessions
  3. Set up or replace devices for new starters and run routine updates and checks
  4. Log what you changed, share patterns with the team, and close resolved tickets
